Volunteers Tabling for Wearing Sun Protection

The Education Subcommittee is a core HOYA Clinic initiative dedicated to promoting patient autonomy and reducing health disparities through culturally competent, community-centered health education. The team focuses on delivering accurate, accessible, and relevant information to the diverse populations we serve, primarily through health fairs and outreach programming designed to meet identified community needs.

Through the development of interactive and engaging educational initiatives, the subcommittee works to build trust, increase health literacy, and expand access to preventative care. Efforts include organizing themed health fairs, providing screenings and education on chronic conditions, and creating innovative tools to enhance understanding and patient empowerment. As the program continues to grow, it remains committed to advancing sustainable, impactful approaches to community health education.
