IronMed 5k

The IronMed 5K is HOYA Clinic’s largest annual fundraiser, bringing together medical students and the Georgetown community to support our mission of providing free healthcare to underserved populations in Washington, D.C. Held in partnership with the IronMed leadership team, this long-standing tradition combines community engagement with philanthropy, helping sustain the clinic’s services and outreach efforts.

Each year, runners of all ages and experience levels participate in a fun, community-centered race along the Capital Crescent Trail. Through registration, sponsorships, and donations, the event raises critical funds that allow HOYA Clinic to continue delivering care at no cost while strengthening its community partnerships. As IronMed continues to grow, it remains a cornerstone event that reflects the spirit of service, collaboration, and impact at the heart of HOYA Clinic.

IronMed 5K 2026

The 2026 IronMed 5K was a tremendous success, bringing together students, faculty, alumni, healthcare professionals, and members of the DC community in support of HOYA Clinic’s mission. As HOYA Clinic’s largest annual fundraiser, IronMed is essential to sustaining our operations and expanding access to free, high-quality healthcare for underserved communities across Washington, DC.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our runners, sponsors, donors, and volunteers, we raised over $12,000 in 2026 – the most successful IronMed to date. These funds directly support HOYA Clinic’s free medical services, community health fairs, outreach initiatives, and partnerships with local organizations working to improve health equity throughout the District.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who participated and contributed to this year’s event. The success of IronMed 2026 reflects the dedication of our community and its shared commitment to advancing equitable healthcare. We look forward to continuing this tradition and building an even greater impact in the years to come.
