Spanish Interpretor

The Spanish Interpreter Program is a HOYA Clinic initiative dedicated to reducing language barriers and ensuring clear, compassionate communication for Spanish-speaking patients. Student interpreters support clinical and outreach activities by facilitating communication between patients and providers, helping to deliver more equitable and patient-centered care.

In addition to providing interpretation services across clinics and community events, the program focuses on training, assessment, and infrastructure to ensure accurate and culturally responsive communication. The team also develops resources to support volunteers in working effectively with interpreters and accessing language services when needed. Through these efforts, the program plays a vital role in improving accessibility and quality of care for multilingual patient populations.
